What is the point of Humanism?

Mr. Croft states that the point of Humanism is "To safeguard human dignity while maintaining intellectual integrity. To put people first."
I submit that there is scant human dignity without intellectual integrity. And because region is anti-intellectual, it undercuts human dignity. Further, to the extent UU is a "religious faith" it is anti-intellectual.
Mr. Croft also says the point of Humanism is "To put people first". Which raises the question as to what, specifically, he means by that? First over what?
